Usage of Tripotassium EDTA

1. Tripotassium EDTA is specially used for in vitro blood anticoagulation as an anticoagulant additive for blood collection tubes, performing pre-treatment of blood specimens during clinical blood collection and testing.
    
2. Tripotassium EDTA can be used together with serum separation gel and sodium fluoride.

    

   In vacuum blood collection tubes, this combination provides better anticoagulant effect, preserves blood specimens well, and ensures smooth progress of experiments.
    
3. Due to the complexing ability of tripotassium ethylenediaminetetraacetate, it can be formulated into detergents.

    

   It should be noted that the grade of tripotassium EDTA used in detergents is different from that for in vitro anticoagulants.

    

   When used in detergents, it has no harmful effect on skin; in addition, it can bind with metal ions to soften water, which is more favorable for washing.
